The new Schreiner athletic program Rifle Program will focus on three-position air rifle shooting. This is the most popular and fastest growing form of shooting sports competition. There are two different Air-Rifle events available and Schreiner will offer both Sporter Air Rifle and Precision Air Rifle. The focus will be on the Precision Air Rifle team that is modeled after the Olympic-style shooting and allows the use of specialized target rifles and equipment. In both types of shooting, competitors fire at targets at a distance of 10 meters. The Schreiner University team will compete in the Civilian Marksmanship Program.
