Commencement Address:

Ms. Maggie Rios is a proud Schreiner University alumna, accomplished marketing executive, and servant leader whose career has been defined by growth, innovation, and a commitment to empowering others. As Vice President of Communications and Branding for Atlas Copco, she leads strategy and business development initiatives for an operation serving industries including oil and gas, power generation, food and beverage, automotive, and aerospace.

Throughout her career, Ms. Rios has built a reputation for transforming teams, driving innovation, and delivering measurable business impact. She successfully expanded her marketing organization from a small team into a high-performing, cross-functional department supporting key account management, product marketing, CRM, communications, and inside sales. Under her leadership, national initiatives have generated millions in new revenue while strengthening customer partnerships and organizational growth.

A member of Schreiner University’s Class of 2013, Ms. Rios earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Schreiner before completing her Master of Business Administration at The University of Texas at Brownsville. She remains deeply committed to leadership development and business education through service on multiple university advisory boards.

Known for her collaborative and servant-centered leadership style, Ms. Rios is passionate about mentoring future leaders, fostering meaningful partnerships, and creating sustainable systems that help organizations and individuals thrive.

As a Schreiner alumna, Ms. Rios represents the power of perseverance, adaptability, and lifelong growth. She is honored to return to Schreiner University as commencement speaker and share a message centered on leadership, resilience, and the importance of building a career that creates lasting impact for others.
