Sound Recording Studio
The recording studio at Schreiner University consists of three rooms. The Alex Wallace rehearsal hall which is equipped with an Earthworks Decca Tree (named for Decca Records which invented the process in the 1950’s) for the recording of large groups such as orchestras and choirs, the Dorman ensemble room for smaller groups, and the Teeple control room itself. Built in 2017, it features state of the art Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Reaper Digital Audio Workstations. With a full complement of microphones, virtual instruments and multiple keyboards the possibilities are seemingly endless. Throw in access to several grand pianos of different brands and sizes and you have a unique learning opportunity deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The studio is run by Bill Ward, an award-winning singer/songwriter and veteran producer.
