At Schreiner University, we are committed to ensuring equal access to academic opportunity, personal growth, and holistic support for all students. The Center for Engaged and Active Learning Support (CEALS) and Learning Support Services (LSS) provide individualized accommodations and learning strategies for students with documented disabilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Students in our LSS program, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences, are held to the same academic standards as their peers and graduate with equal credentials.
The LSS Testing Center is available to Schreiner students who are in the Learning Support Services Program or who have been approved for testing accommodations under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Students seeking testing accommodations must submit documentation of a qualifying condition and must meet with Micah Wrase to complete an application before scheduling an exam. Micah can be contacted at mkwrase@schreiner.edu or 830-792-7258.
Test requests must be received at least two business days before the scheduled test time.
Students must have a signed copy of the Testing Policies on file prior to testing. (Can be completed at time of test if not already on file.)
- Submit Documentation: Provide recent professional documentation verifying your disability and need for accommodations/ESA. (attach documentation to the form below)
– 504 Academic Accommodation documentation options: evaluation from a qualified professional, 504 IEP or ARD from high school
– ADA Housing/Access Accommodation documentation options: evaluation from a qualified professional
– Emotional Support Animal documentation options: evaluation from a qualified professional outlining diagnosis and need for an ESA
2. Request an Intake Meeting: Meet with CEALS staff to develop a support plan. (provide meeting time availability in message section on the form below)
3. Create a Custom Accommodation Plan: Based on your documentation and needs. This will occur during your intake meeting.
4. Stay Supported: Access ongoing guidance and accommodations throughout your time at Schreiner.
