Mountaineer Leadership Academy (MLA) at Schreiner University

MLA is a leadership development program that equips students to lead with purpose, integrity, and a heart for service—both on campus and beyond.

What MLA Offers:

  • MLA Lecture Series
Engage with respected leaders from government, the military, and the business world. These sessions offer real-world insight, leadership strategies, and opportunities to build your professional network.
  • Community Service Projects
Take part in meaningful service initiatives within the local community. These experiences foster teamwork, compassion, and a strong sense of civic responsibility.
  • Travel Opportunities
Gain firsthand exposure to leadership at work through visits to local and state levels of government. These experiences help students understand how policy, service, and leadership intersect in real-world settings.
  • Year-by-Year Leadership Growth
MLA is structured to grow with you. Each year builds on the last, helping you develop confidence, sharpen your skills, and shape your unique leadership voice.
