Dyana Rice or “Anna” is a dedicated and experienced nursing professional currently serving as an Instructor of Nursing. In her role, she teaches in the Practical Nursing (PN) program and clinical settings, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for nursing to her students.
Mrs. Rice began her nursing career by earning her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) in 2018 and has since advanced her education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She is certified in Trauma Nursing (TNCC), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Before joining Schreiner University, Mrs. Rice held a leadership position as the Nursing Supervisor of the Trauma Progressive Care Unit at Baylor Scott and White. Her exemplary performance in patient care earned her recognition as one of the region’s Top 30 Nurses in 2022. In addition to her academic role, Mrs. Rice maintains a PRN position in hospital driven by her enduring love for hands-on patient care.
A native Texan, Mrs. Rice is a proud wife and mother of three boys. She is enthusiastic about her personal and professional growth in academia here in the beautiful Hill Country.
