Dr. J. Barry Shaw is a Professor of Exercise Science and Sport Management at Schreiner University. During his tenure at Schreiner, Dr. Shaw also served as Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, while developing the Sport Management program. He has been active in collaborative research with the University of Southern California biomechanics department and was an active leader in the Academy of Business Administration International Global Trends Conference. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Missouri State University, a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Arizona and a Doctor of Education from the United States Sports Academy in Sport Management. His research interests include biomechanics applications in women’s volleyball, impacts of NIL legislation on collegiate sports, and consumer behaviors in sport.
