Dr. Tracy Fanara to discuss climate change hazards

Kerrville, TX – The Hill Country Chapter of the National Weather Association, in partnership with Schreiner University, welcomes Dr. Tracy Fanara, live via Skype, on Monday, Feb 17, at 7 p.m.to the Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center (CCAC) River Room.

Fanara, also known as “Inspector Planet,” is a Staff Scientist and Environmental Health Programs Manager at the Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, FL. She is a marine environmental engineer researching the effects of marine and freshwater chemicals on public health. She is an expert in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and water quality analyses.

She has been a guest host on the Discovery Channel show “Myth-Busters.” Fanarais the author of the comic book Seekers of Science and a rap artist known for her ability to reach collegiate audiences with the message of climate change hazards.
