Schreiner University Names Dr. Fred “Trey” Wetendorf as Director of Admissions

Kerrville, Texas – August 11 – Schreiner University has appointed Dr. Fred “Trey” Wetendorf as its new Director of Admissions. With more than 25 years of experience in enrollment management, student success, and community engagement, Dr. Wetendorf will lead Schreiner’s student recruitment and outreach efforts in alignment with the University’s Schreiner 2030 Strategic Plan.
Dr. Wetendorf has served in multiple leadership roles at Schreiner, including Director of the Title V Hispanic-Serving Institution Grant, Adjunct Faculty in Freshman Studies, and Resident Director of Pecan Grove Apartments. His career also includes senior admissions and enrollment positions at Trinity School of Midland, Odessa College, The University of Texas Permian Basin, and Midland College.

Dr. Wetendorf holds an Ed.D. and M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University and a B.S. in Psychology from Texas Christian University. He is active in TACAC, NACAC, the Kerrville Rotary Club, and serves on the Schreiner University Cultural Initiatives Board. He is also an advisory board member at the Kroc Center Salvation Army in Kerrville.
