Schreiner University Names Dr. Barbara Oh as New Dean of Academic Excellence

Kerrville, Texas — Schreiner University is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Barbara Oh as its new Dean of Academic Excellence. Dr. Oh brings a distinguished background in academic leadership, student support, and innovative program development.

Dr. Oh joins Schreiner from Cornell University, where she served as Associate Director of the Health Professions Advising Center. Her career has centered on enhancing student success through evidence-based, inclusive, and developmental approaches. She has also served as Assistant Director at Cornell’s Learning Strategies Center and as Advising Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences.

“Dr. Oh’s experience and vision will help us redefine our commitment to personalized, integrated, and holistic education by leading our academic support areas and offices for Changing Global Societies, Meaningful Work, and Purposeful Lives,” said Dr. Russell Frohardt, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. “I am thrilled that she is bringing her academic, strategic, and leadership expertise to Schreiner University. Dr. Oh is a thoughtful and compassionate leader who will move so many of our exciting plans forward.”

As Dean of Academic Excellence, Dr. Oh will oversee academic support services, student success initiatives, and interdisciplinary educational programming. Her leadership will strengthen Schreiner’s commitment to academic quality and the development of the whole student.
