Schreiner University Football Welcomes Chris Biggurs as Defensive Line Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator

KERRVILLE, TEXAS — Schreiner University Football proudly announces the addition of Christopher Biggurs as the program’s new Defensive Line Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. With an extensive background in collegiate and professional football, Biggurs brings exceptional expertise and passion to Schreiner as it launches its NCAA Division III football program.
Biggurs is a former standout defensive lineman for Southern Methodist University (SMU) and later competed professionally with the Iowa Barnstormers and Green Bay Blizzard. His coaching resume includes roles at high-profile programs such as TCU, Baylor, and the University of North Texas. Most recently, he served as the defensive line coach at Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, while also completing a strength and conditioning internship with TCU Football, where he worked closely with both offensive and defensive linemen.
His career has spanned various coaching and development roles—from quality control and pass rush specialist at UNT to strength training positions at SMU and Baylor—equipping him with a holistic approach to athlete development. Biggurs’ multifaceted background makes him a strategic fit for Schreiner University’s commitment to building a tough, disciplined, and high-character football program.
