Schreiner University Athletics Announces Mountaineer Coach’s Show

Weekly show will broadcast live from Acapulco Mexican Restaurant throughout the Mountaineers’ inaugural football season

KERRVILLE, Texas – Schreiner University Athletics has partnered with Acapulco Mexican Restaurant to host the Mountaineer Coach’s Show throughout the inaugural 2026 Schreiner football season.

The Mountaineer Coach’s Show will broadcast live every Tuesday from September 1 through November 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Acapulco Mexican Restaurant will serve as the Official Home of the Mountaineer Coach’s Show.

Hosted by veteran broadcaster Ted Davis, the weekly program will feature Head Football Coach Keith Allen, Schreiner coaches, student-athletes and special guests. Each episode will include game recaps, previews of upcoming opponents and an inside look at the Mountaineers’ historic first season.

Fans are invited to attend the show in person, enjoy food and drink specials and be part of the live audience. Acapulco will also offer a special menu item or promotion in connection with the show.

Those unable to attend can watch the Mountaineer Coach’s Show live on Schreiner University’s official Facebook and YouTube channels, FloSports and the Kerr County Lead Facebook page.

The Mountaineer Coach’s Show will debut Tuesday, September 1, at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
