Schreiner University Appoints Lacy Gross as Director of Career Services

KERRVILLE, TX — Schreiner University is proud to announce the appointment of Lacy Gross as its new Director of Career Services. A Schreiner alumna, Gross brings over a decade of experience in higher education, human resources, and student success. Her return marks a significant step forward in Schreiner’s mission to prepare students for purposeful lives and meaningful work.
“I am thrilled to welcome Lacy to Schreiner in this new leadership role,” said Dr. Barbara Oh, Dean of Academic Excellence at Schreiner University. “Lacy brings both higher education and entrepreneurial experience and will be instrumental in building career services resources and programming uniquely tailored for Schreiner students. Her work, in collaboration with the Schreiner Experience, will empower students to explore career pathways and make an impact in their chosen fields and communities after graduation.”
Gross most recently served at Dartmouth College, where she led strategic staff development and recruitment initiatives within Advancement Business Operations. Her work focused on career growth, onboarding, and retention strategies that strengthened organizational development.
Previously, she was an Academic Advisor and Canvas Administrator at River Valley Community College. There, she provided individualized academic support, co-led student success initiatives, and developed employer partnerships to support experiential learning and post-graduate planning. Her career also includes leadership roles in nonprofit education programs and teaching entrepreneurship and professional development as an adjunct faculty member.
A native of the Texas Hill Country and a proud graduate of Schreiner University with a B.A. in English, Gross holds a Master’s in Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Human Resources Management. Her unique blend of experience in teaching, advising, and workforce development equips her to expand Schreiner’s career services and deepen its impact on student success.
