Karl and Beverly Ransleben Donate $25,000 to Hill Country College Fund Challenge
KERRVILLE, Texas — Schreiner University proudly announces a generous $25,000 donation from Karl and Beverly Ransleben to the Hill Country College Fund (HCCF) to challenge others to join them to support local students. Their gift reinforces their commitment to supporting education and their desire to encourage local students to stay in the area for their college experience. The Ransleben gift will help meet the HCCF goal of $700,000 and inspire others to contribute to this vital scholarship.
“The generosity of Karl and Beverly Ransleben is truly inspiring.” Danielle Jenschke, Schreiner’s Director of Development, expressed her gratitude for the Ransleben’s long and loyal support, “they are truly passionate about supporting local students and I don’t know what we would do without the Ransleben’s generosity. Jenschke added, “Most of Schreiner students live within 52 miles from Kerrville. Education is truly local. When we educate and support our local students, they remain in the area after graduation and become important contributors to our economy and involved members our community.”
The Hill Country College Fund directly supports students from Bandera, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Mason, Medina, Menard and Real counties.
To celebrate the ongoing success of the Hill Country College Fund, Schreiner University invites the community to the Hill Country College Fund Luncheon on March 20, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. on the Schreiner University Quad (weather permitting). The event will highlight the transformative impact of scholarships made possible by the HCCF, provide an opportunity for others to respond to the Ransleben challenge, and recognize the generosity of donors who are changing lives of local students in the Texas Hill Country.
