The Hal & Charlie Peterson Foundation supporting premier education
Kerrville, TX – Schreiner University’s Hill Country College Fund Campaign raises funds to be used solely for tuition assistance for deserving, need-based students from Kerr and surrounding counties to attend Schreiner University.
“Hal and Charlie Peterson were committed to the people of the Texas Hill Country,” said Brian Oehler, Hal & Charlie Peterson Foundation general manager. “We care deeply about providing opportunities in education and believe our support of Schreiner University and the Hill Country College Fund is a fundamental way we can support premier education for local and regional students.” The Hal & Charlie Peterson Foundation has a history of supporting and creating student learning experiences by making gifts to Hill Country College Fund, Learning Support Services program, Vocational Nursing and now Bachelor of Science of Nursing programming.
“We are sincerely grateful for the loyal support that we receive from The Hal & Charlie Peterson Foundation for Hill Country College Fund. The impact of this fund is measured every day in the lives of our students who are able to thrive and pursue personal and career goals,” says Beth Johnson, Community Development Officer at Schreiner University.
Hill Country College Fund is in its 41st year and an average of 200 students per year receive need-based financial aid toward a Schreiner University education because of generous community support –like that of The Hal & Charlie Peterson Foundation -for this fund. The financial aid provided by the Hill Country College Fund represents a very important component of the tuition assistance the University has provided to 98% of its students this year. The Hill Country College Fund is earmarked for allocation solely to students who are financially disadvantaged and who would otherwise be unable to attend the University.
