Kacie Caroll MSN RN CEN is an experienced Emergency Department Leader with over 33 years in Emergency Medicine. Her career also spanned other practice settings including ICU, Cath Lab, Organ Transplant, and Legal Nurse Consulting. She is an adjunct instructor at Schreiner University, in Kerrville Texas. Her specialty areas are Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, and Nursing Leadership.
In her role as an Emergency Department Director, Kacie led a busy Emergency Department in Merced California through the Covid 19 Pandemic. Merced County had the highest death rate in California and during this time Kacie and her team opened two field hospitals to accommodate the influx of critically ill patients. Recently, Kacie was retained to help open a brand-new Emergency Department, in a newly constructed medical center in Tucson Arizona. In this role she hired all staff, established policies, workflows, and managed the purchasing of all equipment. She assisted them through their State of Arizona licensing survey, and Joint Commission Accreditation. Currently, she serves as an Interim Director for Lifepoint Health in various rural facilities.
Kacie is a Certified Emergency Nurse and serves as an expert witness in Medical Malpractice and Medical Negligence cases. In her spare time Kacie serves as a professional auctioneer for charitable organizations, and helps fundraise for her local humane society.
