Sarah Nicole Partin-Parcus (Dr. Partin) is a forensic epidemiologist. Her professional career began in capital-penalty cases. Those experiences working with the aftermath of trauma and broken families motivated her to find a more proactive capacity. She shifted to working with children in abusive situations through consulting in child custody disputes with allegations of child abuse and performing court-order supervised visitation.
Shortly after graduating from the Texas A&M School of Rural Public Health with an MSPH, emphasis in epidemiology, she had the opportunity to work in the legal system. That experience led her to pursue a career as a forensic epidemiologist, consulting in capital and non-capital murder cases in various US states. For several years, Dr. Partin pursued forensic epidemiology and human development. She further expanded her scope of work and interest to include working with children and families facing allegations of child abuse. The central theme in her professional pursuit is to further her education and capacity to provide effective service to children and their families.
As part of that theme, she sought further education and experience in working with children and families facing complex legal and traumatic situations. She is a trained Child Forensic Interviewer. In addition, Dr. Partin has been trained in the Child Attachment Inventory by the Anna Freud Institute (London, United Kingdom) and The Menninger Clinic (Houston, Texas). Dr. Partin earned her doctorate in Infant and Early Childhood Development, with an emphasis on neurodiversity, from Fielding Graduate University in September 2025. Her research focuses on the intersection of children and family legal issues. In addition, her educational background includes child development, epidemiology, biochemistry, and English studies. Additionally, she has earned a Master of Arts in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an emphasis on mental health and developmental disorders from Fielding Graduate University.
Dr. Partin has sought educational and service-oriented work with the full spectrum of human development, from those with special needs to the exceptional. Her emphasis in life is serving others, especially children caught up in the legal system. She hopes to continue to support the court system in determining the most effective course of action for children and their families.
