Kerrville, TX – Schreiner University will present “TexS Talks 2025: Football in Texas,” hosted by the Texas Center, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cailloux Campus Activity Center, Schreiner University. The event is free and open to the public.
The evening will include presentations exploring the culture, history, and impact of football in Texas. Speakers include:
-Colt McCoy – Former NFL quarterback and Texas football legend, reflecting on his 13-year professional career.
-Hal Mumme – Renowned football coach and the innovator of the “Air Raid Offense.”
-Mike Craven – Senior writer at Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, offering expert insights into the sport’s influence across Texas.
-S.C. Gwynne – Acclaimed author of The Perfect Pass, delving into the stories that shaped the game’s evolution.
The evening will be moderated by Dr. Donald Frazier, Director of the Texas Center, who will guide the audience through a discussion on why football is more than just a game in the Lone Star State.
