Schreiner Nursing program again ranked 2nd in state
For the third consecutive year, the Schreiner University Nursing program has been ranked among the best in Texas by nurse.org, with its traditional BSN (Bachelor of Science, Nursing) program earning the #2 designation for 2024.
“This is exciting,” said Shanna Chapman, Director of Nursing. “To be ranked consistently in the top three in the state by a national organization shows that our ongoing efforts to update our curriculum and program are working.”
In 2022, the traditional BSN program ranked #2 in the state; in 2023 the RN to BSN program ranked #3 in state; in 2024 the BSN program is again ranked #2 in state.
According to Chapman, the rankings were based on:
Reputation
NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) pass rate
Tuition
Acceptance rate
Only ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) or CCNE-accredited schools are eligible
The selection panel includes five Registered Nurses with 55 years of combined nursing experience and eight nursing degrees.
