Camerata San Antonio is a chamber music ensemble presenting six impeccably prepared and curated concert programs in San Antonio, Kerrville and Boerne.  Kerrville will have the opportunity to experience “Salon” on Saturday Oct 6 at 3 p.m. in the Rodman Steele Recital Hall at Junkin Ministry Center. Tickets are $8 for students and $20 for the public.

Free parking will be available in the West Lot on Schreiner University’s campus, and shuttle service via golf cart will be available for those in need. Campus maps are available on schreiner.edu.

This chamber ensemble is composed of two violinists, one viola, one cellist and a pianist. Each musician brings a wealth of international experience to their performances.

Kenneth Freudigman– co-founder of Camerata San Antonio – began playing cello at the age of 6 and his love of music has carried him to the major concert halls of Europe, the Middle East and throughout South and North America. He can also be heard on recordings featuring the New World Symphony Orchestra, or Camerata San Antonio’s Grammy nominated CD called Salon Buenos Aires: Music of Miguel del Aguila.

Emily Watkins Freudigman – co-founder of Camerata San Antonio – holds degrees in viola from Southern Methodist University, the Peabody Conservatory and the University of Michigan, as well as performed with Grand Rapids, Fort Worth, Boston, and Maryland Symphony Orchestras.

Anastasia Parker has been praised for her “voluptuous tonal hues” and “nuanced phrasing” by the South Florida Classical Review. Her experience with the violin has resulted with records and touring across Europe and Asia with the Pittsburgh Symphony.

Viktor Valkov has been praised as the “lion of the keyboard” and “sensational”.  He has performed with almost every major orchestra in his native country of Bulgaria as well as touring across the U.S, China, Japan, and most of Europe. Valkov has also performed Dimitar Nenov’s Grande Piano Concerto with New Symphony Orchestra. He became the fifth pianist to perform this music and the only one to complete it in its entirety.

Matthew Zerweck leads the San Antonio Sinfonietta, a volunteer music ensemble, where he acts as concert master and soloist. Zerweck has played performed as a soloist with the University of Incarnate Word Orchestra as well as the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio.
