Kerrville’s Chad Hill Named the First Voice of Schreiner Mountaineer Football

Every great football tradition begins with a first kickoff, a first touchdown, and a first voice.

As Schreiner University prepares to launch its inaugural football season this fall, the University is proud to announce that Kerrville’s Chad Hill has been selected as the first public address announcer in the history of Schreiner Mountaineer Football.

Since moving to the Kerrville area in 2016, Hill has become a familiar and trusted voice throughout the Hill Country. He is the Brand Manager and morning show host for local radio station The River 106.1, serves as a worship leader at Calvary Temple Church, performs frequently in area theaters and music groups, and is preparing for his fifth season energizing Friday night crowds as the public address announcer for Ingram Tom Moore High School football. His passion for sports, community, and bringing people together makes him a natural fit to become the voice of Mountaineer Football.

“Launching a football program is about creating traditions that will last for generations,” said Bill Raleigh, Director of Athletics at Schreiner University. “The voice that welcomes fans, celebrates touchdowns, and creates excitement becomes part of those traditions. Chad has a tremendous ability to connect with people, and we’re thrilled to have him as the first voice of Schreiner Football.”

As the official public address announcer for all Schreiner home football games at Antler Stadium, Hill will introduce players and coaches, deliver game day announcements, celebrate Mountaineer scoring plays, and help create the electric atmosphere that will become synonymous with Schreiner Football.

“I am incredibly honored to be selected as the first voice in this exciting new tradition of Mountaineer Football,” said Hill. “I’m grateful to the Schreiner University community for this opportunity and to my friends at Ingram Tom Moore High School for allowing me to learn the craft of announcing while serving their football program, students, and families. I can’t wait to call that first touchdown.”

Schreiner University’s inaugural football season marks the return of collegiate football to Kerrville and one of the most significant milestones in the University’s 100-plus-year history. Home games at Antler Stadium will feature an unforgettable game day experience with the Mountaineer Marching Band, spirit squads, student traditions, community engagement, and now, the unmistakable voice of Chad Hill welcoming fans to every kickoff.

“We’re building something that belongs to our students, alumni, and the entire Hill Country community,” said Raleigh. “Having someone like Chad, who has invested so much in Kerrville, become part of our inaugural season makes this moment even more meaningful.”

As Schreiner Football begins writing its first chapter, Hill’s voice will forever be part of the program’s history, welcoming generations of Mountaineers to the field and helping create traditions that will endure for years to come.

The Mountaineers will kick off their historic inaugural season this fall as Schreiner University continues to expand opportunities for student-athletes while strengthening its connection to the Hill Country community.
