Position Title: Campus Rec staff Level 1
Department: Campus Recreation
Reports To: Campus Recreation Director, Campus Rec Manager, Campus Rec Supervisor

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up/clean up game space
• Refs’ games appropriately and fairly
• Checks people in on Pounce
• Explains the rules of the game clearly
• Arrives in full uniform and with whistle and appropriate colored shirt
• Supervises game space to ensure safety
• Minimizes and terminates any unsportsmanlike conduct
• Completes daily task list
• Works with all level Managers for the department
• Assist in gym events
• Assist in spotting gym patrons
• Assists with record boards
• Supervises gym safety/atmosphere
• Monitors the area to make sure rules are being followed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Night and Weekend Facility Management (CCAC)
• Manage Lion’s Den Passive Programming
• Opening and/or Closing of the CCAC
• Manage Facility Amenities
• Check out Lion’s Den Equipment (pool cues, etc.)
• Report facility usage and attendance
• Set up TV, Projector, and Gaming Equipment during usage hours
• Host Gaming Tournaments
• Assist in content creation and marketing for Student Affairs

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED EXPECTATIONS

• Complete game space task list
• In charge of getting teams into game space and setting up all players for success
• Enforces dress code and game space safety
• Clearly states game rules and makes sure each team understands what is expected of them
• Actively makes sure the game is being played accurately and fairly
• Refs unbiased
• Shows up for each shift on time
• Records and reports scores to Managers
• Complete daily task list followed by initials next to task
• In charge of record board duties such as collecting material for record board and  making sure it gets to the right person to execute
• Enforces dress code and gym safety within the gym
• Oversees the entirety of the gym and its essential functions such as equipment replacement, cleanliness, events, and overall gym health
• Actively makes sure laundry is done and folded
• Ensure clean, appropriate music is always playing throughout the gym
