Schreiner University Sets Enrollment Record in Fall 2025 Census

First-Time Freshman Class Grows by 33% | Total Enrollment Up 11%
Kerrville, TX — Schreiner University has achieved record-breaking growth with its Fall 2025 census. According to official data released by the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, total enrollment has risen to 1,470 students, reflecting an 11% increase over Fall 2024.
The most striking growth comes from Schreiner’s first-time freshman class, which now totals 434 students, a 33% increase over last year. This is the largest incoming class in Schreiner’s 102-year history.
“Our enrollment momentum is a testament to the personalized, purpose-driven experience Schreiner offers,” said Alan Liebrecht, Vice President for Enrollment Services. “Families are seeking value, community, and career-ready programs, and they are finding all three at Schreiner.”
Fall 2025 Census Highlights:
- Total Undergraduate Enrollment: 1,302 students (12% increase)
- Graduate Enrollment: 168 students (unchanged from Fall 2024)
- First-Time Freshmen: 432 students — 33% growth
- Total Enrollment: 1,470 students — 11% overall growth
This year’s enrollment surge also reflects strategic investments in programs that are generating excitement and attracting new students. Schreiner’s newly announced football program, which will begin competition in Fall 2026, is already drawing interest from prospective student-athletes across the country. The introduction of a drum and bugle corps has added a dynamic musical and leadership component to campus life and student recruitment.
“Schreiner’s growth reflects more than just impressive numbers. It speaks to our commitment to helping students enter with hope and leave with achievement,” said Dr. Charlie McCormick, President of Schreiner University. “The addition of football and our expanding programs are helping to shape a vibrant, inclusive campus community that supports every student’s journey.”
This momentum supports the goals outlined in Schreiner 2030, the university’s strategic plan to enroll 2,030 students by the end of the decade. Schreiner continues to expand academic offerings in high-demand fields such as Nursing, Business, Education, Aviation, and Engineering, making it a top choice for students from the Texas Hill Country and beyond.
“Students are choosing Schreiner because we combine academic excellence with strong personal support,” added Liebrecht. “Our campus is ready to help them grow, lead, and thrive.”
As Schreiner builds its future, one message continues to guide its mission: Enter with Hope. Leave with Achievement.
