Exploring Faith Through Learning
Earn your Bachelor of Arts with a major in Religion at Schreiner University. Understanding religion is crucial for comprehending our own culture and those of others, as it shapes aspirations, symbols, practices, and values. Schreiner University’s Religion program goes beyond merely describing religion’s cultural significance, exploring how the Christian faith narrates the meaning and purpose of human life through God’s redemptive activity in Jesus Christ.
Guided by the Reformed tradition’s belief that faith is inseparable from life, our program challenges students to integrate academic learning with lived faith. The study of Religion at Schreiner is a “humanity,” benefiting from and contributing to the diverse realms of knowledge within the curriculum.
Broaden Your Horizons:
Religion majors are encouraged to use elective hours to explore a wide range of courses, enriching their lives and preparing them for various occupations and vocations.
Christian Vocations Intern Program (CVIP):
To nurture Christian discipleship, respond to student needs, and provide “whole-person” educational opportunities, the Christian Vocations Intern Program (CVIP) offers an experiential, field-oriented learning and serving program. Under the supervision of trained mentors and teachers, CVIP enables students to integrate faith and academic learning in practical settings. This program prepares students to be Christian leaders throughout their lives and to explore potential calls to service in the church.
