Robotics & Advanced Mechatronics Summer Day Camp

CTWD @ Schreiner will host an Advanced Mechatronics and Robotics Summer Camp led by David Shann, in collaboration with members of the Schreiner University Robotics Club. This specialized camp is designed for middle school and high school students who are already active members of a robotics team, club or a CTE focused tract and are seeking advanced, hands-on training. This is where young enthusiasts engage in hands-on learning with the latest robotics technology, preparing them for success in a tech-driven world.
The camp will operate as a day program over five consecutive days. The sessions will be held, June 8th–12th, with sessions running three hours per day increasing Awareness of Engineering Pathways.

Participants will engage in intensive,
project-based learning focused on:
- Electrical Safety
- Electrical circuits and systems
- Applied problem-solving techniques
- Programming and operating robotic arms
- Hands-on mechatronics applications

Instruction will utilize AC/DC training systems and robotic arms from the Mechatronics program, providing students with real-world technical experience while also generating measurable performance and participation data to support grant reporting and evaluation.
This program will strengthen students’ technical competencies and support regional STEM workforce development.
