Give Where You Live

Giving Week: Nov. 8-14
Fuel The Dream: Scholarships for Hope & Achievement

Why the Hill Country College Fund Matters

The Hill Country College Fund (HCCF) makes a Schreiner University education possible for students from Kerr and surrounding counties. Many are the first in their families to attend college. Your gift helps turn hope into achievement.

Why It Matters:

  • 95% of Schreiner students receive financial aid
  • Over $32 million raised through HCCF to date
  • Every dollar goes directly to scholarships for students in Bandera, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, and Real Counties

Schreiner is committed to affordability and access. From inclusive, fixed-price tuition to nearly $11 million in aid awarded annually, we do everything we can to ensure students can afford to stay and succeed in the Hill Country.

Your Impact:

Help Build the Next Generation of Hill Country Leaders. This year, our goal is to raise $250,000 during Giving Week as part of our broader $700,000 annual effort to support students across our region.

Every gift helps keep students close to home and on the path to success.

Schreiner has always served the people of the Hill Country. Your support keeps that legacy alive.

Student Testimonials

The Hill Country College Fund has truly changed my life for the better—opening doors I never thought possible and giving me the chance to grow, learn, and become the person I am today at Schreiner University.

– Bailey Pullin, Class of 2027

Matthew Walton, Class of May 2022

“Born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas I am so glad that I was able to go to college in the Hill Country. In high school, I was active in local art classes, swim programs, and musical performances. In all of this, my passion was people and building relationships. I came to Schreiner because it has the same passion. Schreiner University has given me the chance to grow academically, personally, and professionally in ways that I never could have imagined. I am so grateful for the Hill Country College Fund for providing me with this amazing opportunity.”

– Matthew Walton, Class of 2022
