“Expanding Your Horizons” started in 1992 as a university-wide project. According to Dr. Diana K. Comuzzie, Director of the Conference, participants will explore hands-on labs and workshops that include investigating a “crime scene,” coding a game, robot wars, and more. The students will meet professional women and college students in the STEM fields who will share their paths to their careers, while encouraging participants to consider their own high school and college study possibilities.
“This is a fun event that gets girls talking about science and math, and excited to pursue careers in these areas,” Comuzzie said.
Cost is $25 for online registration through October 13, but participants can late register at the door. Check-in is at the Cailloux Campus Activity Center (CCAC). Lunch and all materials are included, with camp T-shirts available for preregistered participants. Signup and information is online at schreiner.edu/academics/expanding-your-horizons/
