  • What if I don’t meet the admission criteria?
    • Students with below a 3.0 GPA for their undergraduate degree may still be reviewed by the graduate admissions committee and accepted provisionally. Student admitted provisionally must earn a B or better during their first semester of the MED program in order to continue as a fully admitted student.
  • I am a current Schreiner student finishing my undergraduate degree. What are my steps?
    • You can apply for the MED program during your final semester of your undergraduate program. You will not need to request transcripts, we will pull those for you. You can be admitted to the MED program to begin the semester immediately following your graduation or any session after that. You can be admitted on the condition that you successfully complete your undergraduate degree on the stated date and maintain the 3.0 GPA.
  • Do I have to go full time?
    • Yes, this program is only offered as a full-time three-semester program. The summer semester is June only.
  • Can I walk in a graduation ceremony?
    • Yes, even though the program is 100% online and you are not required to, students may choose to walk in the graduation ceremony following their completion of the degree. We host graduate ceremonies in May and December of each year. Regalia is available for graduate students.
  • Am I able to get a Teacher Certification online?
    • Yes, we also offer a teacher certification program that is adds an additional semester to our MED program that includes the graduate teaching internship option. Additional requirements include passing a PACT test in the area the student wants to be certified in and an interview with the Director of Education. The teacher certification program is an additional $517 per credit hour.
