Schreiner University’s New European Studies Program

First graduate with the new European Studies interdisciplinary minor

Kerrville, TX – The Schreiner Department of History and Regional Studies is happy to announce Kaitlin Beettner, from Canyon Lake, TX, as its first graduate with the new European Studies interdisciplinary minor. Kaitlin will be honored at Commencement with other fall graduates on Dec 13, where she will receive her Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology in addition to European Studies.

Along with completing coursework in European Studies in Kerrville, Kaitlin pursued a summer study abroad in Florence, Italy as well as a semester abroad in Granada, Spain, while visiting several other countries.

European Studies began in 2018 and is open to students of any major. With courses in history, religion, modern languages, art and theater, among others, the program gives students the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the rich culture, history, and society of Europe.
