Schreiner University Rifle Team Continue Impressive Start

New team off to a 2-0 start in their inaugural year

Kerrville, TX – On Friday, Nov 15, the Schreiner University Rifle Team shot their second postal match against Johns Hopkins University, at the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center in Kerrville, Texas. The Schreiner University Rifle Team won this Precision Rifle shooting match, giving them their second victory, making their record 2-0 within the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC).

The Schreiner University Rifle Team’s score was 2,215 points to Johns Hopkins University’s, 1,835 points. The Rifle Team was led by their Coach, Lance Little, and the top five scoring shooters consisted of MaKayla Poggione- Reno, NV, Damien Smith- Joshua, TX, Olivia San Miguel- San Antonio, TX, Armando Guevara- Poth, TX and Madalynn Mann- Bulverde, TX – all of whom are within the Freshman Class at Schreiner University.

The MAC, the largest rifle conference in the nation, currently consists of 12 active member institutions: John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Canisius College, Hofstra University, Johns Hopkins University, Penn State University, Schreiner University, State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime Academy, State University of New York (SUNY) Plattsburgh, Wentworth Institute of Technology and Yale University.
