Schreiner University Welcomes “Dr. Doppler”

The Hill Country Chapter of the National Weather Association, in partnership with Schreiner University, welcomes guest speaker Cary Allen Burgess on Monday, Oct 1 at 7:00 p.m. to the Cailloux Campus Activity Center (CCAC) Ballroom.

Burgess of NBC affiliate KCBD in Lubbock, Texas, also known as “Dr. Doppler” to Hill Country residents, is a native of Kerrville, an experienced storm chaser and an expert on Hill Country weather.

Burgess will speak about the unique character of Hill Country weather, along with his experience as a broadcaster and storm chaser.
He will answer questions following his presentation.

To increase awareness of Hill Country weather conditions and hazards, this event is free and open to the public. Free parking provided.
