The Department of Psychology at Schreiner University invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2020. The ideal candidate will have training and research interests that cross multiple domains within the field of psychology. A background in cognitive and/or developmental psychology is desirable although other specializations will also be considered. Typical duties for the position include teaching 12 hours per semester; service to the university through committee work, serving in positions of leadership, and/or sponsorship of student organizations; staying active in the pursuit of scholarly activity; and advising students both in pursuit of their degrees and in future career options.
The psychology major at Schreiner is among the most popular on campus. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, motivated to develop innovative learning opportunities. Preference will be given to candidates with a commitment and demonstrated ability to serve historically underrepresented and first-generation college students.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Psychology (or related field) or ABD with completion no later than August 2020. Teaching experience is preferred.
