Schreiner University seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Political Science to begin August 2022. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach courses concerned with governmental institutions and institutional processes as well as with the importance of political participation (engagement), voting, etc. in society. Applicants with experience and interest in teaching political science courses that could be cross-listed with a criminal justice program are especially encouraged to apply.

Full-time faculty have responsibilities for student advising, service, and professional development in addition to teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will be expected to participate fully in departmental duties, committee service, campus activities, and engage in scholarship aligned with institutional goals.

Desired Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely related field or ABD with completion no later than August 2022.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
