Schreiner University seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in designing and creating a new criminal justice program situated within the Division of Humanities at Schreiner University. This new program will help prepare students for professional careers in criminal justice and related fields by situating student learning within the context of a criminal justice curriculum that relies heavily upon the strengths of the humanities to broaden human understanding committed to serving the common good.
Full-time faculty have responsibilities for student advising, service, and professional development in addition to teaching responsibilities.
An earned doctorate in Criminal Justice (or related field) or ABD with completion no later than August 2021.
Teaching experience is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
