  • Student and Faculty Contact: Greet students and faculty in a friendly and professional manner; advise students of procedures for obtaining services; answer questions about services.
  • Provide electronic textbooks to students and tutors. Stay informed about sources of electronic books, register University and/or students with appropriate E-libraries as needed. Maintain records regarding electronic textbooks.
  • Maintain records of all applicants as appropriate: create and maintain physical files, create reports as needed.
  • Work extensively alongside Admissions to complete and process any, and all, information regarding incoming applicants via JRM or other data systems.
  • Contact applicants with regards collecting information for LSS admission
  • Contribute positively to office morale; treat all constituents (students, faculty, parents, co-workers) professionally and kindly.
  • Office management: create and maintain various statistical reports to track usage and dollar expenditures regarding services.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies, process purchase order requests.
  • Assist with testing coordination as needed, by: supervising and/or assisting monitors, readers, scribes; informing faculty of student requests, procuring tests from faculty and ensure security of tests until returned to professor post-exam, protecting integrity of testing in accordance with program policies and procedures.
  • Communications: Act to facilitate quality communications between employees, clients, and management through interpersonal and professional communication techniques.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality concerning all matters regarding testing and the LSS department. Does not discuss in any manner any information obtained through work in the office.
  • Advise prospective students and families of admission requirements and financial aid process and status pertaining to LSS
  • Maintain regular contact with prospective LSS students through visits, email, written communication, telephone calls, and other contact methods.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Learning Support Services


  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by LSS Director.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain University safety rules.


Participate in all aspects of Learning Support Services (LSS) recruitment and admission. Work with Admission office regarding contacts and posting. Work with students and tutors to secure electronic textbooks. Maintain records as appropriate. Coordinate and track departmental purchases; create and maintain various databases, statistical reports, and files; keep records of program activities; and work with students, faculty, and members of the community in providing services. Increase enrollment of qualifies LSS students and meeting yearly enrollment goals for LSS and Schreiner University. Generate inquiries, applications, interviews, and meetings for potential LSS/Section 504 students. Communicates the features and benefits of Learning Support Services at Schreiner University.
