Kicking off the Texas Heritage Music Foundation’s 30th anniversary year, Lorraine LeMon and Menagerie will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, in the Lion’s Den of Schreiner University’s Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center.
The Kerrville-based group plays diverse original music including smooth jazz, blues, R&B, soul, Motown, pop, and gospel.
The Texas Music Coffeehouse appearance in honor of Black History Month is free and open to the public. The Coffeehouse series, six concerts each academic year, is sponsored by the Texas Heritage Music Foundation, the Schreiner University English Department, and Chartwells.
Other scheduled Coffeehouses for spring 2017 include March 1 with Lisa Beck and Kathy Bauer performing in honor of Women’s History Month, and April 4, a spoken word session featuring Thom Moon Poet and slam poetry by the Schreiner music and English departments.
