Monday Night Fiction to continue March 24

Monday Night Fiction: The Book Thief

Schreiner University’s Monday Night Fiction series will discuss “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak at 7 p.m., Monday, March 24, in the Scarle-Philips Room in the William Logan Library. Silke Feltz, instructor of German and English, will lead the discussion.

“The Book Thief” is set in 1939 Nazi Germany. Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside Munich, steals things she cannot resist—books. With the help of her foster father, she learns to read and shares her books with neighbors and the Jewish man hidden in her basement.

Monday Night Fiction is free and open to the public. For more information about the event, contact Silke Feltz at 830-792-7324.
