Monday Night Fiction to kick off Feb. 17

Schreiner University’s Monday Night Fiction series will explore “The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum” by Heinrich Böll at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 17, in the Scarle-Philips Room in the William Logan Library. Dr. Jeremy Roethler, The Lost Honor of Katharina Blumassistant professor of history, will lead the discussion.

“The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum” is about a young woman’s association with a hunted man that makes her the target of a journalist determined to grab headlines by portraying her as a monster. As attacks on her person escalate and she becomes the victim of threats, Katharina sees only one way out of her nightmare.
