SU Concert Band to perform April 16

Schreiner University Concert Band

The Schreiner University concert band will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 in the Dietert Auditorium on the Schreiner University campus.

The 19-member group will perform “Kentucky—1800” by Clare Grundman, “Declaration Overture” by Claude T. Smith, music from “Les Miserables” arranged by Michael Sweeny, “The Marches of John Williams,” arranged by Johnnie Vinson and more.

A reception in the lobby of the Dietert Auditorium will follow the performance.

The concert band has been on Schreiner campus for two years, and membership is open to all students with a musical background.
