Schreiner sophomore receives prestigious Young scholarship
The George and Fay Young Foundation has awarded Schreiner University sophomore Beth Fawcett, from Boerne, Texas, a $20,000 scholarship as part of the foundation’s Young Scholar program. Fawcett is a chemistry major in Schreiner’s pre-medical program.
“My time at Schreiner has been a blessing,” Fawcett said. “I feel that what I'm learning here is leading me toward my future. A future that is now much brighter with the opportunities presented in receiving this scholarship.”
The George and Fay Young Foundation is a charitable trust begun in 1985. The Youngs were Dallas residents for much of their lives and began the trust to give back to their community. The foundation focuses on education, individual, family and community intervention, animal rescue and awareness, and healthcare.
