First Texas Water Symposium for 2011-2012 to be Held October 13
The first of the 2011-2012 Texas Water Symposiums will be Thursday, October 13 at 7 p.m. at the Texas Tech University campus in Junction. Panelists will be discussing the topic Drought: What, Where, Why and When…Will It End? The panelists are: John Baccus, professor in the Department of Natural Resources management at Texas Tech University, John Nielson Gammon, professor of meteorology at Texas A&M University and the Texas State Climatologist, Bruce McCarl, regents professor of agricultural economics at Texas A&M and Todd Votteler, executive manager of intergovernmental relations and policy at Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority and editor of The Texas Water Journal. The session is free and open to the public.
This is the fifth season of the Texas Water Symposium co-sponsored by Schreiner University, Texas Tech University, Texas Public Radio and the Hill Country Alliance.
