Schreiner sports shooters receive new shotguns

Baserri Shotguns of Friendswood, Texas, recently presented two Mari Elite shotguns to the Schreiner Shooting Sports Society to use in practice and competition.


Wayne Rodrigue and Alan Thompson of Baserri Shotguns in Friendswood, Texas, presented two Mari Elite shotguns to the Schreiner Shooting Sports Society. In the picture, from left to right, are Anthony Gaddy, a Schreiner freshman from Manchaco, Tex; Dustin English, freshman from Winberley, Tex.; Mark Tuschak, Schreiner vice president for advancement and public affairs; Caitlin Weinheimer, junior, from Ingram; Wayne Rodrigue, Baserri Shotguns; Michael Anderson, junior, from San Antonio; Cade Hord, freshman, from Medina; Alan Thompson, president of Baserri Shotguns; Arlo Swanson, junior, from Bulverde, Tex.; Melony Padrone, sophomore from Johnson City; Matt Goodwyn, director of the Mountaineer Fitness Center and campus recreation at Schreiner; and Bill Thomas, who coaches the Schreiner Shooting Sports Society.

“The chairman of the board at Baserri was investigating Schreiner as a possible school for his son,” said coach Bill Thomas. “He discovered we have a shooting team. He saw merit in the program and wanted to become a major sponsor.”

The Mari Elite model has a suggested retail price of $3,395.
