Schreiner Volunteer Fair accepting registrants

Schreiner University is looking for local nonprofit organizations to participate in its 5th Annual Volunteer Fair, which gives interested volunteers a chance to see what opportunities are available in the Kerrville area. This year’s fair will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, in the second-floor ballroom of the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center on the Schreiner campus. The fair also will host “Get the Scoop on SU Groups,” a chance for visitors to see the Schreiner student groups that provide a pool of volunteers for area projects.

The Volunteer Fair is free and open to the public.

“More than 40 nonprofits participated in the fair last year and more than 350 people attend the fair looking for engaging volunteer opportunities,” said Elizabeth Loggie, associate director of volunteer programs at Schreiner. “This is a one-stop shopping for volunteer opportunities in the Hill Country.”

If your organization or group would be interested in participating in the Volunteer Fair, call or e-mail Loggie at 830-792-7211 or
