Schreiner University Alumni Art Show to Feature Artist Danny Jordan
Schreiner University’s annual alumni art show will feature artist Danny Jordan. The show will open on Saturday April 16, with an opening reception from 3-5 p.m. in the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center upstairs atrium on the Schreiner campus. The public is invited to attend this event, which is a part of the University’s Recall weekend. The show will be on display until April 24. Mr. Jordan is a 1989 Schreiner graduate and professional artist in Texas. Originally from Houston, Jordan’s work can be found in art galleries from Port Aransas to Aspen, Colo. Jordan has four paintings in the permanent collection of the Petroleum Museum of the Permian Basin and his goal is to be a Texas Parks and Wildlife CCA stamp artist. The vibrant waters of the Gulf of Mexico have been the most significant influence on the genre and subject matter Jordan conveys in his attempt to capture light-play and celebrate color.
”Schreiner University equipped me with the education, experience, and life skills to count on myself,” Jordan said.
